Alex Viada

Alex Viada, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Triathlon Coach, is the founder and co-owner of Complete Human Performance, and one of the originators of the “hybrid” athlete concept- a training methodology that combines high level strength and endurance into a single program.  A lifelong athlete who has participated in and competed in nearly every sport imaginable (some with greater success than others) since being dragged to his first swim meet when he was four years old, Alex holds the record for most weight deadlifted (700 pounds) within a week of running a 50 mile ultramarathon.  This record is not official, but is most likely accurate as to date he’s just fairly certain nobody else has bothered to try it.  He has close to 13 years of coaching experience with over 400 athletes of all ages and levels, in sports ranging from bodybuilding to ultra running to triathlon to cycling to powerlifting.  He has also successfully prepared close to 50 individuals for Ranger School, SFAS, BUD/s, and other selective military programs.

I recently bought Hybrid Athlete. It says that the “all rounder” program will be available April 2015. Any word on when this will be availble?

    • Eric

Yes, any word on this? Do we need to purchase the book again?

      • b_truit

I’m going to see if I can email them. I already knew in my head that this kind of training was possible but mainly bought the book for the program.

        • Janne

I tried emailing them but never got an answare regarding the programs and I bought the book 2 weeks ago so the programs should be there all ready

          • b_truit

Same here. Kind of a joke if you ask me. When I was looking to buy the book it stated on the site that programs were included. All but the ones I wanted though.

  • Phillip Banky

a complete joke, nobody should buy this

an incomplete program from a man with absolutely FAKE stats, 4:15 mile? you cant be serious this guy runs faster than olympians like Ashton Eaton? the closest athlete to what this guy actually claims he can do..

Don’t buy this, you’ve been warned
and it’s obvious the staff doesnt care, they havent responded to anyone thus far (people have been at this since april)

  • Erik

What ended up happening tho the “tbd” or “April 2015 release” programs? It’s may 2016, did the other 50% of the programs get scrapped????

    • DG

Did you get any info on this?
