As a powerlifter interested in getting into weightlifting, I started working with Jo Ann in search of super total programming, and I'm so glad I did!
Jo Ann is discerning of my strengths and weaknesses, and is skillful in developing custom programming that addresses the areas I need to work on. Unlike some programs that feel canned and impersonal, Jo Ann's coaching is adapted specifically to each athlete and their own idiosyncrasies.
Her coaching goes beyond just writing workouts, but also coaching in other areas of competitive lifting including being strategic about gaining and losing weight throughout the training cycle, cutting for meets, setting up competition mind sight and more.
I've set new PRs in all my lifts under Jo Ann's coaching! I highly recommend her coaching to any lifter who wants thoughtful, personal feedback and individualized programming!

I’ve been Jo’s remote athlete since September 9, 2017. I’ve known Jo through mutual friends and have seen her compete for years prior to working with her. Her strength has always been impressive and her technique was always impeccable. She taught me so much about powerlifting. Her training is straight forward and makes sense. Anyone can prescribe a training program but what she did for me was more than any of my past coaches have done. Jo listens and really cares which is why I was so committed to her after we started.
Jo gave me the tools I needed to succeed. I started with her as an experienced lifter and she gave me useful feedback and simple cues to improve all my lifts. During my time with Jo I qualified for the Arnolds and competed at two national powerlifting meets. My last meet was bittersweet as I competed at week 10 of my pregnancy. Jo definitely worked some magic there and I would’ve been completely lost without her guidance
I’m extremely grateful to have a coach like Jo. She’s the perfect coach for me and I’m excited to go right back to her after the baby arrives!

I just want to take a minute to thank you for truly kicking my butt with this! It is exactly what I needed and I have a feeling I will see big gains by the time I get to compete again. I was in a rut and needed someone to push me. And, while I might grumble (and whine and cry and walk funny), I Love it! 😊 Having your coaching keeps me accountable and I have already learned a ton about what I was doing wrong and how to improve. Thanks! You are A great coach!
